You’ll turn the pages of the very first edition of the Michelin guide to see what establishments were recommended at the time. Along the way, your visit will become a fascinating and exciting learning experience. And before you leave, you’ll be able to take a selfie with the Michelin Man to share with your friends.
Michelin the aircraft manufacturer!
Right from the beginning of the 20th century, the Michelin brothers took a keen interest in this new industry and organised amazing competitions and challenges to encourage it! During the First World War, they converted their tyre factory to produce planes for the French and American air forces. Come and see an extremely rare Bréguet-Michelin plane at L’Aventure Michelin.
Michelin along the roadside
Tyres are made for travelling and, right from the beginning of its history, Michelin has been marketing products and services to guide and help tourists: Michelin Guides from 1900, Michelin maps from 1910 and road signs along every road in France. At L’Aventure Michelin, come and touch authentic Michelin road signs made of enamelled volcanic lava.
